Travelling through the rainforest from B-612 asteroid

all premature deaths have become bygone memories,

disappeared in the blowing wind of time,

with no remembrances of the chaos and peace that once happened.

Only in the bay of déjà vu

that in a poem’s time can we

search for what is unforgettable from the origin -

The Little Prince has been growing up with every one of us around the globe. The French classic The Little Prince is by far the most read and most translated literary masterpiece in French literature. In the occasion of its 75th French edition publishing anniversary, Medialink Group, the Hong Kong licensee, and renowned Hong Kong Steven Choi have joined hands to recreate the brand new The Little Prince Picture Book series. Highly acclaimed by Le Petit Prince’s French licensee, Choi made history in becoming the ever first Hong Konger to be officially authorized to illustrate The Little Prince Picture Book.

Since childhood, Steven has never ceased to draw or explore different illustration styles.  Unlike the fairy-tale-like traditional version, the author renders this new edition with his uniquely refined paintbrush strokes, bringing readers onto a realistic yet profound journey.

In celebration of Le Petit Prince’s 75th French edition publishing anniversary, “Le Petit Prince – Le Havre” Solo Exhibition by Steven Choi opens on 29thJanuary 2021 at Gallery by the Harbour. Exclusively made for this exhibition, Choi has created new chapters to the book, reinterpreting the love story between The Little Prince and the rose in a modern fashion. Not only does he weave brand new elements to the classic, but also holds a conversation beyond time and space.
